| Our History |
Rottiers Sales Associates began as Rottiers and Associates by Don Rottiers. The original company, Golden Gate Fireplaces, started in 1964 in Redwood City, California, as distributor and installer for Heatilator Fireplaces, Superior Fireplaces and DuraVent. Golden Gate Fireplaces grew to three locations servicing the state of California.
Don Rottiers was approached by DuraVent (later to become Simpson DuraVent) and Heatilator Fireplaces to become the manufacturers’ representative. Don sold his interest in Golden Gate Fireplaces and started Rottiers and Associates.
The first sales person Don hired was Bob Enstad. Bob later left the company to pursue his own interests. In 1986, Don hired, Jack Dillon and Tenny Stevens, as outside sales people. Over the next thirteen (13) years Rottiers and Associates added several core product lines with an emphasis on growing the HVAC distribution side of the business.
In 1999, Jack and Tenny purchased the company from Don Rottiers and changed the name to Rottiers Sales Associates. Rottiers Sales Associates is a manufacturers’ representative servicing the HVAC distribution and specialty hearth dealers and distributors throughout California.
